Lemon Roast Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add in the chicken season it with salt and pepper. Sprinkle 1/2 oregano and some garlic inside the cavity.
2. Preheat a large skillet and melt the butter. Brown the chicken on all sides.
3. Transfer everything in the skillet into the crock pot and sprinkle the remaining oregano and garlic over it.
4. Add in the water. Cover and let it cook for 7 hours on low setting.
5. Pour in the lemon juice and let it cook for another 1 hour.
6. Carve the chicken and serve as it is or serve over cooked rice.
