Lemon Chicken Recipe

Lemon chicken is a blend of the Chinese and American cuisine. This delicious dish has become a popular favourite for anyone who enjoys eating chicken. With this lemon chicken recipe, you can start making delicious chicken meals anytime you like for your family to enjoy.

Instructions:


1. In a large mixing bowl, mix and combine the egg, vegetable oil, cornstarch, soy sauce, salt and white pepper to form the marinate. Add in the chicken pieces and coat both sides. Cover and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.


2. Remove the chicken pieces from the marinade and place them in another bowl.


3. Using the bowl with the marinate, mix and combine the vegetable oil, water, flour, cornstarch, baking soda and salt to form the batter.


3. Preheat the skillet and add in the vegetable oil. Dip the chicken pieces into the batter. Fry the chicken pieces for 3 minutes until both sides are lightly browned, preferably 2 pieces at a time. Drain the chicken pieces on paper towel.


4. Increase the heat and fry all the chicken pieces together for 2 minutes until golden brown. Drain them on paper towel again.


5. Cut the chicken pieces into smaller slices and place them on a platter with some lemon slices.


6. In another skillet, pour in the chicken broth, vegetable oil, lemon juice, lemon peel, honey, vinegar, corn syrup, catsup, garlic, salt and white pepper. Bring to a boil and add in the water and cornstarch. Stir the mixture until thickened to form the sauce. Remove the lemon peel and pour the sauce over the chicken pieces.


7. Serve as it is or serve over cooked rice.
